Bachlors in Financial Markets

The three year B.Com(Financial Markets) Degree course aims at :

  • Creating an additional avenue of self-employment and also to benefit the industry by providing them with suitable trained persons in the field of Accounting & Finance and Banking & Insurance.
  • Providing adequate basic understanding about Banking, Insurance & other financial services to the students and to give an adequate exposure to operational environment in the field of Banking, Insurance & other related financial services of Accounting and Finance.
  • Inculcating training, and practical approach, by organizing industrial visits, summer placements and using modem technology in teaching the students in the field of Accounting & Finance and Banking & Insurance.

  • Students applying to VSIT for B.Com(Financial Markets) should be Eligible under the following Criteria's:
    • Passed H.S.C. Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Educations or its equivalent examination & secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate for general category (in one attempt) or minimum 40% marks for the reserved category (in one attempt) at the respective Examination.

Assessment Pattern for F.Y., S.Y. & T.Y. B.Com(Financial Markets).

  • Internal Assessment - 25 Marks

The allocation of 25 marks shall be as follows:

Class Test/Online Examination
Active Participation
  • Semester End Examination - 75 Marks
    • Duration - This examination shall be of 2 Hrs 30 Mins
    • All questions Compulsory.
